About Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School

Our History

Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School was founded in the early 1860’s when a small wood-frame schoolhouse in the village of Hamburg was opened.

As enrollment continued to grow, the school expanded into a larger building, where it currently stands today, and held its first classes in September 1954.

A major renovation in 2001 saw upgrades to the parish center and school, that would include a new, larger gymnasium, new stage, computer lab, library and reading resource lab. The science lab was upgraded in 2013, followed by improvements to the cafeteria in 2015.

Today under the leadership of principal Mrs. Rachael Rizzo, a dedicated group of teachers and staff continue to share an educational experience centered in faith-based traditions with students in Hamburg and surrounding communities.

Grow in knowledge.

With a rigorous academic curriculum that celebrates strong moral values and encourages self-discovery, we can help our students realize their full potential.

Grow in faith.

Our Spirituality Committee of priests, administration, and faculty carefully curate a faith-based theme for every academic year, and embed it into the school’s curriculum.

Grow together.

Our close-knit school community shares in each other’s success, finding positive growth and transformation together, both inside and outside the school walls.
