I am beyond excited to join the SSPP team as a first year music teacher. As a lover of all things musical and creative, it is beyond rewarding to see these bright minds create their own unique sounds and continue to learn about what music means to them. “Where words fail, music speaks.”
The most meaningful moments in my music classroom are when a student gains confidence in any form of music. Whether they take a liking to guitar, piano, drums, or singing, the fact that they are letting music and creativity into their lives is magical. My most memorable experience was witnessing a student that remained silent during class songs, as they did not believe that they sounded good singing, turn into one of my most confident singers! Sometimes all you need to succeed is a push in the right direction, and someone that believes in you.
When I am not in the classroom, I am pursuing my other musical loves. I love musical theatre as well as teaching personal voice lessons. Any way that I can be involved with the Arts, I’ll be there!
